Personality: Like most Akatsuki members, Kensei is usually quiet. He does well to hide his emotions, but is easily annoyed by inquisitive people.

History: Kensei was born in the Hidden Mist village. He was well known in the village and often called a prodigy after he graduated from the Academy when he was 5. When he was 8, he passed the Chuunin exam with ease and joined the Hunter-Nin shortly afterward. After 3 years of service, he retired from the Hunter-Nin and began to live with his family again, doing missions like every other regular shinobi. He became a Jounin when he was 14 and was offered a position in the Seven Swordsmen of the Hidden Mist. When he was 16, his parents were killed on a mission and Kensei decided to defect from the village, saying that there was nothing left for him there. He joined Akatsuki when he was 20 and began to operate as a bounty hunter to gain funds for Akatsuki's work. Since then, he has raised 5 billion ryo for Akatsuki, killing the strongest shinobi on the black market's bingo book.
